Bicycles left longer than 7 days after repair completion are subject to a $2 per day storage fee. Bicycles left longer than 60 days after repair completion are considered abandoned and become property of Groove E-Bikes and will be donated or sold to cover the cost of repairs/parts. We will make several attempts to contact you before this happens, please ensure we have accurate contact information. If an extenuating circumstance occurs, please contact us as soon as possible!


Warranty Policy

The specific warranty covering your Groove E-Ride bicycle is governed by the law of the state or country in which it was purchased, and applies only to bicycles purchased from authorized Groove E-Ride retailers or directly from Groove E-Ride.


FRAMES AND FORKS

Groove E-Ride frames carry a five-year warranty for manufacturing defects in materials and/or workmanship.


COMPONENTS

All other components, frame fixtures and finishes (paint and decals) are warranted against manufacturing defects in materials and/or workmanship for a period of one year from the date of original retail purchase.


TERMS OF LIMITED WARRANTY

This limited warranty is not meant to suggest or imply that the bicycle cannot be broken or will last forever. It does mean that the bicycle is covered subject to the terms of the limited warranty. This limited warranty applies only to the original owner of a Groove E-Ride bicycle and is not transferable to subsequent owners. This limited warranty is void if the bicycle is subjected to abuse, neglect, improper repair, improper maintenance, alteration, modification, an accident or other abnormal, excessive, or improper use. This limited warranty applies only to bicycles purchased in fully assembled and adjusted condition from Authorized Groove E-Ride Retailers or other outlets specifically authorized by Groove E-Ride to distribute Groove E-Ride bicycles. Damage resulting from normal wear and tear, including the results of fatigue, is not covered. Fatigue damage is a symptom of the frame being worn out through normal use. It is one kind of normal wear and tear, and it is the owner’s responsibility to inspect his/her bicycle. Damage resulting from improper assembly or maintenance, or from installation of parts and accessories not compatible with the Groove E-Ride bicycle, is not covered. All labor charges for warranty service are the responsibility of the bicycle’s owner. In the event that the processing of a warranty claim requires shipping, any such shipping charges are the responsibility of the bicycle's owner. During the duration of this limited warranty, Groove E-Ride will either repair any defective frame or component, or, at our option, replace any defective frame or component with the same or most nearly comparable model or component then available. THIS IS THE EXCLUSIVE REMEDY UNDER THIS WARRANTY. ANY AND ALL OTHER REMEDIES AND DAMAGES THAT MAY OTHERWISE BE APPLICABLE ARE EXCLUDED, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES. THIS IS THE ONLY WARRANTY MADE BY GROOVE E-RIDE ON ITS FRAMES AND COMPONENTS, AND THERE ARE NO WARRANTIES WHICH EXTEND BEYOND THE DESCRIPTION HEREIN. ANY WARRANTIES THAT MAY OTHERWISE BE IMPLIED BY LAW INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ARE EXCLUDED. This Limited Warranty gives the consumer specific legal rights. The consumer may also have other legal rights which vary from state to state or country to country. Some states and countries do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages or warranties, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you. If it is determined by a court of competent jurisdiction that a certain provision of this limited warranty does not apply, such determination shall not affect any other provision of this limited warranty and all other provisions shall remain in effect.


Warranty Conditions

THIS WARRANTY SHALL BE EFFECTIVE ONLY IF THE FOLLOWING CONDITIONS ARE MET:

  • If the bike was purchased directly from Groove E-Ride or one of our authorized retailers.

  • If you are the original and first owner of the bike (warranty is not transferable)

  • If the bike has followed all intended use purposes

  • If the electronics have not been repaired or modified.

  • The bike is assembled by an authorized Groove E-Ride retailer.

  • Rider and purchaser is 18 years of age or over and possesses the legal capacity and authority to purchase and ride an electric bike. 

  • The bike is ridden only on paved roads and light off-road trails. Using the bike for any other purpose may result in serious injury.

  • Maximum total weight of rider including any cargo is at all times below 275 lbs.


WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS

  • Normal wear and tear from use or exposure to the elements.

  • Damage or failure from abuse, neglect, misuse, or accident.

  • Damage or failure from modification of any of the bike’s systems.

  • Damage or failure of any part of the electrical system resulting from improper storage or charging of the battery. Improper charging of the battery could cause serious external damage to persons or property.

  • Installation of any 3rd party parts, accessories, or electrical components.

  • Lost or damaged keys to the bike are not covered by warranty.

  • All warranties are void if used for any purpose other than the reasonable intended use.

  • Wearable items such as tires, brake pads and mechanical drive-train.


HOW TO MAKE A WARRANTY CLAIM

If you believe your Groove E-Ride has a warranty issue, your first point of contact should be the Groove E-Ride retailer where you purchased your bike. The place of purchase will facilitate the claim with Groove E-Ride on your behalf.
